TRAINER + RIDING INSTRUCTOR
Anne is a lifelong horsewoman, growing up surrounded by horses and horse people. Her first experience with training was on her family's Icestone Farm in northeast Pennsylvania. At Icestone, she had the opportunity to show and train national champion Morgan horses and it is there that she discovered her love of teaching. After 20 years in sales and sales management, Anne returned to her first love: horses. She established her own stable, where she trained a successful team of show horses, and later began working with Saddlebred Rescue, where she trained, rehabilitated and assisted hundreds of rescued horses for their placement in new homes. Anne is excited to share her love of horses and horse showing with her clients.
Doug has always been a horse lover but did not become a fulltime horseman until later in life. When he retired from a 36 year career with Verizon, he knew he wanted to indulge his desire to be close to horses. During his time with the telephone company, Doug worked in various jobs including technical jobs with special service circuits and cost analyses in support of various telephone services. His second career, working with horses, began with volunteer work at Saddlebred Rescue. While working with the rescued horses, Doug was fortunate enough to spend time at Nealia and Mark McCracken’s North Wind Stables. It’s now Doug’s desire to continue caring for horses and help others enjoy the sport of Saddle Seat riding through the Millstone Riding Club.
